9-4 Age-group classification by Gabor features of the face : With a focus on feature selection based on aging fluctuation of the features for someone specific

Abstract

In this research, we propose a method for age-group classification from face images using Gabor features. We first made a comparison of each element of the Gabor features obtained on face images in terms of sensitivity to aging effect found on faces among different subjects, and conducted an age estimation experiment based on the selected features with higher sensitivity to aging.
