9-5 Discrimination of facial expressions by sparse and dynamic measurement of 3D features by motion capture system

Abstract

We defined feature vectors that represent the 3D coordinates of marker points attached on human face, which were measured by a motion capture system, and investigated discrimination capability of the features among several categories of facial expressions by classification experiments.
