Abstract
We have developed an FPGA-based 2K/4K real-time super-resolution processor that is capable of spatio-temporally and color-selectively controlling the over-Nyquist components. The processor is composed of adaptive digital filters for sub-band decomposition and wavelet reconstruction. As an application of the processor, we demonstrate ultra high efficient real-time 4K video transmission in combination with a 4K/2K pre-reduction processor and a 2K video codec.
