UHDTV (8K) VOD (Video-on-Demand) experiment for cable TV system was successfully achieved by adopting MPEG-2 TS basis channel bonding technology. In response to viewer's request signal, the UHDTV (8K) transmitted by four 256 QAM channels was restored to an original signal at our prototype set-top box through a HFC (Hybrid Fiber and Coaxial) cable TV network.
