Abstract
A method for differentiating between computer generated and digital camera images based on wavelet analysis is presented. This scheme models the marginal distribution of a wavelet coefficients using a Gaussian mixture. However, since these densities have more sharp zero peaks and heavy tails, such a mixture model is difficult to stably estimate. In this paper we propose a robust technique for classifying computer generated and photographic images based on a generalized Laplacian distribution modeling.
