Abstract
Conventional video system is based on the peak luminance limitation of CRT, 〜100cd/m2.It is possible to provide the luminance beyond this limitation with LCD. Video dynamic range preference was surveyed by the viewer's preference. The result shows the peak luminance 10,000cd/m2 is more preferable. High Dynamic Range video system provides better quality video.
