Wideband transmission system using FEC with lower code rate and successive interference canceler
technology can improve robustness against co-channel interference so that it would be expected to improve a frequency
efficiency of utilization. This paper reports possibilities and problems in case of adopting wideband system to broadcast
model in japan.
