Abstract
In this study, we newly propose a fast rotate template matching(TM) prediction method without decreasing the coding efficiency. The proposed method adaptively uses TM prediction and HEVC intra prediction, and skips th e TM matching procedure based on the local edge intensity. Experimental results show that the proposed method can reduce the computation time up to 30% without picture degradation.
