Abstract
We newly developed an 8K/120Hz compression recorder supporting a generic video codec (Apple ProRes) that is widely used in non-linear editing. Using the recorded footage, an 8K/120Hz post-production experiment with common editing equipment was performed. The experiment using the single codec throughout the workflow demonstrated practical and cost-efficient 8K/120Hz editing.
