A Video Noise-Reducer with Precise Motion Compensation Prediction

Abstract

This paper proposes a new noise reducer for motion pictures. The current noise reducers generate afterimages in moving areas. Therefore, they are of insufficient quality. We have developed a new noise reducer that adds a precise motion compensation circuit to an existing noise reducer. The new noise reducer does not generate afterimages in the moving area. As a result, better noise reducing characteristics are acquired and, thus, higher quality motion pictures are obtained.
