The pixell structures in a display influence the visual characteristics differently than in conventional raster scans. Therefore, it is very important to further improve the design of the mosaic dot pixel structure. This paper proposes a new model that analyzes the relation ship between pixel structures and visual disturbances. In this model, the power spectral density was investigated in terms of the relationship between the modulation transfer function of the pixel structure display and human visual characteristics. Visual disturbances were estimated from the spectral density and total noise levels. Using these estimations, the effects of pixel aperture and pitch, and color dot pixel structure can be evaluated.
