Over the past year, our research team has been working on a new concept; TV4U(TV for you). The TV4U system automatically provides tailor-made TV programs based on user profiles. TV4U encompasses many processes from gathering TV resources, such as movies, images or texts, to making a presentation. In this paper, we propose a method to search TV resources and automatic production modules using their indexed metadata. Users can search for appropriate data from a lot of TV resources and automatic production modules using their metadata. We found that the TV4U system gives us the opportunity to produce TV programs with a variety of modifications depending upon user demand and contents of resources.
