Abstract
The development of AC-PDPs aims to extend display sizes and to fine cell size. As many PDPs apply sub-field method and line-scan addressing, it's crucial problem that the addressing periods occupy quite part of one field, especially in Hi-resolution PDPs. The fast addressing technique satisfies with the increment of SFs and the cost down through the reduction of the driving ICs. In this study we discuss that the fast addressing with assistance discharges which provides ions or excited particles and they curtail a statistic time lag of an address discharge. First we explain the phenomenon in which these particles concern the curtailing. Second we estimate some sequences with assistance discharges. As a result, we found that the using self-reset-discharge as an address assistance perform a twice faster addressing than the ordinary sequence with a level dark room contrast ratio.
