Report on SID'97 : FPD Manufacturing

Abstract

Papers on FPD Manufacturing, including Processes, Color Filters and Substrate Structures, are reviewed. (Session 35,40,44) The number of papers on Processes is 4,including new COG technology, new assembly, a low-hydrogen a-Si film formation and gate line material. The number of papers on Color Filters is 3,including photoresist for color filters (2) and photoresist for black matrix. The number of papers on Substrate Structures is 4,including cell-gap control (2), using glass fibers to produce a plasma display and cell-gap measurements. Cell-gap control becomes important to examine various substrates and liquid crystals.
