Abstract
Communication aids for the people with disabilities has been studied extensively. Some of them are very useful for the people and are widely used, whereas others are not used in everyday life for many people. Although the reasons of this fact are not simple, one of them is the poor user interface. In this report we will give some results of investigation for communication aids based on the concept of media-interface that is previously introduced. We will also give some basic study on the glide of Japanese sign language, which is one of the important issues in generating sign motion pictures in either rule-based or editing approach.
