Abstract

A dual pixel QVGA progressive-scan CMOS CCD image sensor has been developed. This device has on-chip CMOS drivers to simplify camera systems. It has dual pixel square unit to get high resolution with high fidelity color. Each square unit has two color pixels of green and red or green and blue. The number of effective pixels is 480^V×320^H and reproduces 240^V×320^H (QVGA) image. Sensitivity of 310mV (1/30sec, 1000nit, F8), saturation voltage of 500mV and smear ratio of -90dB (F2.8) have been achieved.
