Abstract
An autostereoscopic display using dynamic double parallax barrier (DDPB) that can be attached to CRT displaying field-sequential stereoscopic images, is developed. DDPB panel can be easily attached or removed without concerning geometrical limitations for CRT pixel positions. Normal (two-dimensional TV broadcasting signal) can be also observed by removing the panel from CRT. Furthermore, a method to detect an observer head position using an active sensing (infrared) to realize a wide autostereoscopic viewing area, is developed.
