Abstract
We have developed a full color printer TX-70 equipped with a decompression function from a SmartMedia, in which compressed image data are recorded. TX-70 adopted Thermo Autochrome printing method which has advantages of low running cost and photo-like high print quality. Especially, TX-70 is suitable for the print of the high resolution picture image taken a picture by Megapixel Digital Still Camera with the printed resolution of 306dpi. In addition, it is expected that TX-70 spreads as a home printer by improving the handling of the print paper and having simplified the print operation. In this paper, outline of TX-70 functions and technologies will be explained.
