Abstract
A production of moving picture and medical fields requires extremely high-quality image transmissions. This paper showed video transmission technologies in these industries to integrate high-quality images with high-speed networks. We indicated a possibility of gigabits-level image communication from existing state of computer network technologies and a need for high-speed wide-area network. A gigabits-level local area network platform and services for limited high-end users using high-quality images were proposed in this paper.
