Abstract
『Display Works99 Manufacturing Technology Conference』 was held on FEB.3〜4, 1999 in San Jose City. In this report, the contents of 3 sessions, "Keynote", "Driver and Interconnect Technologies", and "CRTs" are reported. In "Keynote" session, strategies to avid risks of investment in LCDs and prospect of FED(Field Emission Display) were described. In "Driver and Interconnect Technologies" session, Ink-jet printing technology for assembly and interconnect, COG(Chip On Glass) technology for a car navigation display with the interconnection of 64μm, and technology for Low-temperature poly-Si TFT data drivers were presented. In "CRTs" session, technologies for automatic inspection of alignment, grid gaps of electron guns, and others were presented.
