Abstract
In this report, the papers on the phosphors presented in The Fifth International Conference on the Science and Technology of Display Phosphors are summarized. Total of 93 papers were presented, and these are consisted of 41 papers on phosphors including PDP, 48 papers on inorganic and organic EL and 4 papers on photonics. The papers on the phosphors coated with ITO and/or SiO2 aimed at the use of CRT phosphors to FED were presented. The papers on the deterioration mechanism of BAM phosphors during irradiation by ultraviolet and on the development of new phosphors for PDP were also presented.
