Abstract
We conducted experiments and computations to examine the data storage conditions of SBN single crystal, which is a photorefractive material, highly sensitive and voltage-free, as media for holographic memory, by measuring basic characteristics such as absorption and diffraction efficiency. In addition, we sought to optimize these conditions with a view to applying SBN single crystal to multi-channel multiplexed memory for reference image database of our facial recognition system and succeeded in recording 120 images(20 channels ×6 pages). Finally, we verified that stored images are identical by checking optical correlation signals of input and reference images.
