Abstract
The Yokohama Broadcast Library was opened in the Yokohama Media and Communication's Center in October 2000. In this Library, people can watch programs for free that NHK and other commercial broadcasting stations in Japan have already been broadcasted, using TAO's(Telecommunications Advancement Organization of Japan)experimental system. We developed the digital archive system which configurations are a video server and a DVD cart machine as a distributed part. We mainly report about the distributed part, that is the storage and distribution of the program contents.
