Abstract
Calibration of CRT display has been performed by GOG (Gain Offset Gamma) model with high accuracy. The GOG model, however, is not always significant for calibration of LCD. In this research, EOTF (Electro Opical Transfer Function) of reflective-type LCD is modeled to calibrate the color reproduction characteristics of the display by using PCA (Principal Component Analysis). Spectral radiance of 29 colors were estimated using eigenvectors and coefficients. As a result, the average color difference based on the CIE 94 of these 29 samples between measured and estimated by proposed method was 0.4454. In addition, the minimum and maximum color differences were 0.0564 and 0.9651, respectively. It is shown that PCA-model is also effective for CRT display.
