Abstract
We developed Digital HDTV receiver with a HDD for digital broadcasting. This receiver provides simultaneous recording and playback of HDTV, simultaneous recording of two programs and playback of one program. We formed the performance model of the storage block for analysis. And, using the performance model, we optimized block size for disk I/O request in the view of buffer size and response for user's operation.
