Abstract
The authors developed two different types of agent-based applications that would be applied to real consumer electronics products. Firstly, the authors introduce the "Network Agent System" where users are able to interact with agents to fully enjoy a digital cellular phone, a home audio system and a car navigation system being integrated over the Internet, no matter where they are. Secondly, the authors introduce the "TV Program Agent System" which recommends TV programs that users would like on the Digital STB, and describe how the agent derives them from a huge amount of TV Programs.
