Abstract
We investigated the cathodoluminescent (CL) properties of Zn_<1-x>Mg_xS:Cu,Al powder phosphors with a wide range of magnesium content. It was found that the CL colors irradiated by an electron beam (0.25μA/cm^2, 27.5kV) shift from green to blue with increasing of magnesium content. Moreover, in the CL spectra, the green-Cu band shifts to blue, and a new blue band appears at 2.86eV. And we showed that an increase of the band gap energy deepens the acceptor level (Cu^+) and causes the blue shift of the green-Cu band when magnesium content less than 10mol%.
