Abstract
This paper presents the perceptual difference of the disparate quality in object- and background-region of coded picture. Subjective evaluation experiment is based on the stereoscopic picture which has obtained by changing the coding parameters in an object region and a background region. From the ANOVA and regression analysis, overallpicture quality of coded stereoscopic picture has good agreement with a product value of the picture quality in object- and background-region. As the overall picture quality, the lower quality is more significant rather than the higher quality.
