Abstract
In this paper, we propose Vision Chip for directing the line of sight including saccade. Line of sight can be determined by the positions of the pupil and the Purkinje's image in eye image. The vision chip described in this paper has the functions of detecting their positions, as well as generating the coordinates of their central point. We have already reported a high speed vision chip for line of sight detection including saccade based on the pixel parallel processing architecture , but its resolution is limited as very low for its large size pixel. In this paper, we describe the design and evaluation of the vision chip based on column-parallel processing for increased the resolution with keeping the processing speed, which is enough to track saccade.
