Abstract
For the purpose of constructing more economical FTTH network, we have developed a new 32-fiber aerial distribution cable, named "Free Branch Cable"; (FBC) and Pre-connectorized elastic spiral drop cable. The FBC contains 32 individually sheathed 1-fiber elements. The elements are stranded loosely so as to enable to take out any elements at anywhere. The elastic spiral drop cable has high adjustability of cable length. This attribute is beneficial for drop wiring with both end pre-connectorized cable. In this paper, we introduce such new cables' configurations and propose a new wiring concept with these new cables which can reduce total cost of FTTH deployment.
