Abstract
This paper is concerned with an numerical calculation of 2D-electromagnetic wave scatterings by a dielectric material by using a CIP method combined with the quadratic interpolation. A line source which produces a sinusoidal wave is used and electric field distributions around the dielectric material are calculated. The numerical results by the proposed method are compared with those obtained by using Type-M CIP and Type-C CIP methods in terms of the accuracy, used memory size and computation time. The comparisons shows the effectiveness of the proposed method for analysing the multi-dimensional wave scattering problem.
