Abstract
The ultra low profile inverted L antenna on parallel wires is proposed for the element antenna of the SSR or ADS-B base station antenna for the air traffic control. On the central element of three parallel wires of length 0.49 wavelength, the unbalanced fed inverted L antenna is mounted. When the length of parallel wires are 0.49 wavelength, the distance between them is 0.124 wavelength, and the antenna height is 0.032 wavelength at the center frequency 1.06GHz, the return loss bandwidth of 6.13% and the directivity of 3.99dBi are obtained numerically.
