Abstract

Recently, demands for stereoscopic shooting technology increases in movie and TV industries. So far, the many stereoscopic cameras have been developed, but there is no camera which can take ultrahigh speed stereoscopic images. Therefore, we configured ultrahigh speed stereoscopic camera combining two ultrahigh speed cameras. To avoid the limitations from the size of cameras and lens, we employed the configuration using beam splitter. Entering trigger signal in both cameras at the same time enables synchronized shooting. This configuration enables the ultrahigh speed stereoscopic shooting. This paper mainly reports on the camera configuration and shooting experiments.
