Abstract
A technology of contents protection and access control which offers great flexibility and security is essential for advanced broadcasting services such as UHDTV. Especially, in order to promote a development of new business models, we need to consider a conditional access system which works in collaboration with web-services. In this paper, we discuss a license transmission scheme with communications functions for flexible conditional access. We also confirmed the feasibility of the proposed license transmission scheme with a prototype system.
