Abstract
In this paper, the results obtained by the statistical studies to clarify the mechanism how round convexities influence Electromagnetic wave propagating around them have been shown. That putting round convexities on the surface of the concrete walls makes reflection waves bigger sometimes has been shown by the authors with numerical analyses and experimental measurements. When the wave length of transmitted waves is about the size of convexities, standing waves obtained by the perpendicularly located concrete walls having round convexities are quite different from those obtained by the flat walls. For this reason, the standing waves made by the concrete walls with various radius of curvature and periodic spaces of round convexities have been simulated by the FDTD method. In conclusion, it has been shown that the amplitude of the reflection wave is changed depending on the distance from the wall.
