Abstract
We are developing an implantable glucose sensor with a long lifetime. Recently, glucose-responsive fluorescent hydrogel whose fluorescent intensity depends on the glucose concentration was developed. We develop an implantable glucose sensor combining the hydrogel with an implantable CMOS sensor. In this work, response time was improved by an optimization of the device structure. The fabricated glucose sensor was evaluated in in vitro and in vivo experiments. An improved response performance of the sensor was confirmed.
