Commendable Casting of Actors/Actresses for Live-action Film Making: System Development and Evaluation

Abstract

In recent years, many live-action films have been created based on comics and animations. Best casting is a key to the success of these works. In this research, a system, called CoCoA, has been developed, which takes as input, the original character’s information to recommend a list of candidates for the actor/actress through matching of face features and personality. The feasibility of the system is discussed on the basis of user evaluations.
