ForceIt: Regionally Affecting Gesture Interaction Through Virtual Medium

Abstract

Recently, interaction style between people and computer-based information systems has been diversified such as from clicking, touching to gestures with the advancement of computer technology. This paper proposes a new style of human-computer interaction which we can affect the target regionally through virtual medium instead of traditional pointing. A prototype system called “ForceIt” as proof-of- concept shows the concept is promising from initial experiments using it.
