Omnidirectional aerial display using the light distribution control by the louver filter

Abstract

An omnidirectional aerial image is formed on the entire circumference of the observing area with aerial imaging by retro-reflection (AIRR), which employs a cone-shaped retro-reflector. In this paper, we report directivity control of the light source which hinders the observation in the conventional method by limiting the viewing angle of the display with the louver filter.
