Abstract
We have proposed a new method to enlarge the horizontal viewing zone in Arc DFD display and confirmed its principle. In order to enlarge the horizontal viewing zone in Arc DFD display, arc 3D display used for the front or rear plane in Arc DFD display is modified to multi-view type by shifting and superimposing of short arc-shape scratches. We can successfully confirm its principle that the high blight spots can be observed at the same horizontal position, even when the observer moves in the horizontal direction. Thus, “Arc DFD display” can be expected as a new 3D display device which can have a wide horizontal viewing zone as with the vertical direction.
