6x-16x speed DVD-RAM disk was developed. We adopted Ge-Bi-Te system phase-change material with high crystallization speed and rapid cooling disk structure. We optimized write strategy to avoid distortion of recording marks at high speed recording. Less than 9% of 5-track jitter was confirmed.
