9-2 Evaluation of Stereoscopic Display Using Cylindrical Lens to Reduce Contradiction between Convergence and Accommodation

Abstract

Stereoscopic display using cylindrical lenses with electronic image displays showing high frequency striped patterns has been proposed to reduce the contradiction between convergence and accommodation of the eyes with low cost. We calculate detailed optics of the proposed system and verify the results of calculation with optometric experiments.
