9-3 Evaluation of 3-D Display Combining Binocular Stereoscopy and Depth-Fused 3-D

Abstract

This paper presents a 3-D display system which combines multi-view stereoscopic system and volumetric display system using Depth-Fused 3-D (DFD) to show the viewer 3-D images without contradiction between binocular convergence and focal accommodation. We measure the viewer's focal accommodation with a refractometer to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
