2-12 Chord Estimation for Automatic Transcription Using Cascade-Connected Comb Filters

Abstract

A method of pitch detection for sound using inverse notch filter constructed by comb filters is proposed. Ratio of signal power of pre- and post- filtered sound can be used to estimate the existence of the corresponding pitch of sound. Using the proposed method, pitches of a chord which consists of harmonies upto three can be detected correctly.
