12-11 Feature Analysis of Front Face Images of Cars and Its Application to Retrieval of Similar Cars

Abstract

Using the principal component analysis of shape and placement information of parts obtained from input car images, features of cars can be described quantitatively as the principal component scores for shape and placement information. This paper proposes a method to retrieve front face images of cars having the specific features given by the caricatured front face.
