Optimal lossless image compression under the Bayes criterion for explicitly described generative models

Abstract

In this study, we describe generative models of images as stochastic models by looking at the previous studies such as predictive coding from different point of view. Then we construct lossless image compression which is optimal under the Bayes criterion for the generative models, and consider its properties.
