Motion and Depth Compensation Based on Scene Flow Estimation for Depth Map Coding

Abstract

Our previous method of interframe prediction for depth map coding performs motion compensation of objects in a depth direction based on the apparent motion estimation in a spatial direction. In this paper, we introduce a scene flow estimation technique into the method to improve the accuracy of the depth compensation.
