A 14-year-old girl experienced a stab wound by a sewing machine needle in her left index finger, during home economics class. The patient requested for emergency care. The emergency staff destroyed the sewing machine, and transported the patient with part of the sewing machine needle in the finger. Local anesthesia was administered to the affected finger, the tip of the needle was gripped with pliers, and the needle was pulled out. For sewing needle stab wounds, it is important to know the structure and mechanism of the sewing machine when pulling needles out.
