Abstract

This study reports on a case of Anticipation Dialogues among a multi-institutional, multidisciplinary team engaging in home visit support. The concerns of visiting nurses who have long been supporting a man in his 50s with schizophrenia and residing in the community while experiencing auditory hallucinations were examined for team members, including the patient himself, using Anticipation Dialogues. The meeting not only focused on the problems of support and psychological symptoms, but also on the future that the man desired. Finally, we considered the factors that induced 1) a decrease in the visiting nurse’s concerns and 2) behavioral changes in the patient.
