Linear prediction with LMS algorithm for sinusoidal signal

Abstract

The convergence analysis of the LMS algorithm for linear predicting sinusoidal signals was reported in 2005. But, the convergence values of the linear prediction coefficients were not reported. In this paper, we derive the convergence values of the linear prediction coefficients updated with the LMS algorithm for a single sinusoid. The result shows that the convergence values depend only on initial coefficient values.
